UBU

The University of Burgos (UBU) was created on May 26, 1994. It is a public university which develops its mission with a comprehensive and quality education, close to the student, focused on internationalization and which, in only 25 years, has become a reference in Spanish university research and in the transfer of knowledge towards business. At this point, it should be noted that it has been recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education as a Campus of International Excellence (CIE). It has managed to occupy privileged positions both in Europe - among the best 150, according to the ranking of Times Higher Education - and in the world - among the best 1000, according to the same ranking - and become the axis of socio development -economic of the province.

At the same time, the UBU is also part of the regional university-enterprise TCUE strategy (https://www.redtcue.es/en/tcue/what-is-tcue), because its relations with companies have become strategic and deployed for the benefit of student employability. In this context, it should be recalled that it has been accredited by The Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).

Currently, its educational offer consists of 24 diplomas, 5 of which are also taught online and 3 bilingual in English and Spanish, 8 double diplomas, 26 masters, 3 online and 6 in semiattendance, 11 doctoral programs and 20 own titles. This training offer aims primarily to facilitate the employability of its graduates, in particular by setting up agreements with numerous companies for the exercise of their professional internships.

Since 2008, the UBU has been active in several European research and innovation programs: Erasmus +, D.G Justice, Interreg-SUDOE, Life, H-2020, Hercule. UBU has 30 projects in progress, of which 14 are coordinated.

With 7 faculties and colleges (Law, Economics, Human Sciences, Health, Sciences, Technologies and Education), the UBU is a public, open and plural institution, made up of people whose ultimate goal is the generation and transmission of knowledge serving the improvement of society in the geographic environment in which it is located.
