The psychological counseling and support telephone service is underway in front of the UBU's COVID-19
The University Health Care Service and the Personality, Evaluation and Psychological Treatments Area of the University of Burgos has started today to provide counseling and psychological support services to the university community. A service of attention and support that can be used every day of the week from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Calls and consultations made by email will be answered by a team of psychology professionals, all of them professors from the University of Burgos, who thus aim to offer their professional help to mitigate the psychological effect of the COVID-19 pandemic and the confinement that follows. of the prolonged state of alarm it is generating in our lives.
The objective of this team of psychologists is to accompany, advise and relieve people suffering from these effects, although they will not carry out diagnoses or therapeutic interventions. Its purpose is to provide psychological care, guaranteeing compliance with the data protection law, to all those members of the university community (students, professors, administration and service personnel) who need counseling and psychological support during the COVID health crisis- 19.

These experts, with the collaboration of the UBU Television, are also preparing short videos, already available on the YouTube channel of the University of Burgos, with recommendations for managing the psychological effects derived from this confinement situation. In addition to advice for the general population, there are also tips for specific groups, such as people affected by eating disorders.
